Although I have views on many public policy issues, it is impossible to cover them all or to be an expert in every field. However, in every area of policy my views will be guided and formed by some core values, which are:

    I am particularly fond of this photo, which I took on the boardwalk in the Mai Po Reserve. It sums up for me the resilience of nature. It also serves as a metaphor of the Hong Kong spirit: if there is an opportunity, if there is the merest niche, someone will step in to profit by it. May we never lose that attitude and confidence!
